Hi Sean, this recently came up in my feed. Your clock is not irrevocably broken. Find a clock repairer in your area. If the pins are worn they can be fixed with bushings, but probably the whole thing needs to be taken apart, cleaned, and put back together. Then your own grandchildren can have similar memories of you. Best of luck with it.
